While driving and enjoying a podcast, I couldn't help but notice this annoying mumbling sound come from somewhere in my car. Alas, the "radio" was found to be in the "ON" position and it was streaming muck from some gigantic media company called ClearChannel.
Needless to say, my attention was directed to the podcast content that I had selected and elected to stream into my ear at my own leisure. The "radio" was moved to the "OFF" position and that was that! ClearChannel abused my attention for too long with their crappy content and irritating ads. A bit of common technology consisting of a hard drive (iPod) and RSS feed (podcast) has allowed me to defect from their listenership. They no longer have permission to invade my ear canal. What are the odds that this rant could portend the future of their business model? We'll see.
